Excellent new restaurant in San Mateo
October 25th, 2009 10:42 AM
I recently tried a new Persian restaurant called Shalizaar located on El Camino in Belmont. I remember watching for many months as the carpenters renovated what was previously Two Guys From Italy and something else before (and maybe after that). My friend and I ordered the Shalizaar Special for Two, so we could try a combination of three kabobs, joojeh (hen), barreh (lamb filet), and koobideh (ground beef) served with rice and tomatoes. Delicious!

We were both able to bring home a full meal, which was eaten by my son for his late night snack that night. Check out Shalizaar! The atmosphere is delightful and the food… yummy! I’ll be going back.

Finding homes on your own using the internet
February 2nd, 2009 9:19 AM
A lot of times you can find great homes on the internet, but the benefit of working with a real estate agent is that you'll be looking and I'll be looking. The most important thing is that as agents, we have the inside track on new house and can get you in to see them right away. You know that the best house always sell quickly. You don't want to miss out on the best houses, do you?

Ever thought of living in Westwood Knolls in San Mateo?
December 16th, 2008 11:09 AM

Westwood Knolls is a beautiful area in San Mateo that borders El Camino to Alameda and Hillsdale Blvd. to La Casa (almost to Belmont).

The views from the hills can't be beat. The homes and gardens are well kept and provide much to look at while you're out getting a good cardio workout walking around the neighborhood.

The Indian Springs park is close by where my Chihuahua - Diego enjoys playing with other dogs. I remember playing in the park as a child; climbing Eucalyptus trees using ladders we nailed into the trunks and swinging on the tree swing over a small creek. The park hasn't changed much since then, but with the help of the city, the picnic and play areas are more defined and a great place to bring young children.

If you're considering a move to the mid-Peninsula, consider Westwood Knolls for it's beauty, views and friendly neighbors.
